Hello everyone!!!! Yet again i must apolgize for my long blog absence, i am finding it super difficult to get pictures taken with the unpredicatable weather and work. This is basically everything i have been up to the last little while just to update you all on what i have been doing

-working ALOT lol
-i crashed our van into the ditch and ruined it so i have been completely homebound for the last few weeks :(
-obsessively reading Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings, i literally cannot wait to get a hold of the third book
-hanging out at my friends and painting my nails pretty much every colour i can think of, so far my favourite is mint green
-listening to the newest She Wants Revenge album
-catching up on the entire second season of Pretty Little Liars (totally love their clothes)
-cleaning my entire room and throwing out eight bags of crappy clothing

And that is about it!! Nothing to to exciting thats for sure. I know this outfit is very similar to my last one but this is the kindof thing i have been wearing alot lately. I just love this purse, i cant believe i got it for $2.50 at Value Village during one of their fifty percent off days, that is such a awesome price!!! I just love the colour and the little beads, my purse collection has grown tremendously since the summer i think i have eight or nine different bags now. I got my Doc Martens a little while ago, i havent had very many opportunities to wear them anywhere but i think they just look so cool!!! What are everyones Valentines Day plans tomorrow?! My friend and i decided to do a little anti-Valentines celebration since neither of us have a significant boy in our lives (boo lol) which will involve lots of action movies (absolutely nothing romantic) and a big bottle of very cheap crappy wine :). Hi everyone i am so so sorry for my blog absence!!!!! i just got home from a eleven and half hour shift at the ski resort i work at and am totally pooped right now. I work a ton next week but i am going to try and get out for outfit photos on monday which is my one day off (woot woot). Last week i went on a awesome trip to visit my sister and i have tons of new stuff to show you all it is so nice to be able to afford things over ten dollars but i am still super cheap generally fifteen is my max lol. Although i did splurge and buy a pair of brand spanking new doc martens!!! i have been searching thrift stores and ebay for two years now but i have very large feet and have never been able to find my size!!! So i finally bought new ones for myself because i never buy anything remotely expensive and i have read they are excellent for walking once they have been broken in. I really love how they look especially with skinny jeans so here are some fab inspiration pics for them. I hope everyone had a great day!!

I never used to be much of a accessories person but they seriously can make a outfit look better by adding just a few things. This is such a casual outfit but i love how the mixed prints, bag and hat make it look more interesting. I went shopping on monday and got lots of great stuff!!!!! Value Village was having a 5%0 off sale for their Super Saver Club members which i totally recommend signing up for because i found some great things like my purse in these photos for super cheap. I cannot wait to take outfit photos of everything, i finally found my leopard print scarf at the mall which i have been looking ages for, it is AMAZING i love it so much plus it just goes with everything. I got these pants in Smart Set which kindof surprised me, i have been wanting skinny cargo pants for ages and i tried these ones on for fun since i thought they would be to small but they fit perfectly. I dont know if i really have the kindof legs which look good in pants being pear shaped and all but they are so comfortable especially on lazy days so i have been wearing pants alot more than i used to. Ohmygoodness i cant believe it has been over fifteen days since my last post!!!! I had a really wonderful holiday this year and got to see lots of my family :). This was the first year i was the legal drinking age in Ontario so my friend and i went out for New Years which resulted in some funny memories and me getting a nasty cold that is finally going away now. I also worked alot during that time although thankfully i have had the last few days off after working seven in a row. I am SO excited to get my paycheck for the last two weeks on friday, i am going to do some major shopping before i start saving all of my money for school. I did order these boots from Aldo as a little Christmas present to myself i have developed a tiny obsession with knee high boots. I borrowed this tunic from my sister when i was looking through her closet one night. I offered to buy it from her but i really cant blame her for wanting to keep it since it is totally adorable!! I hadnt taken outfit pictures in such a long time i totally forgot what to do in front of the camera which is why there are only two photos. I found this belt at my local thrift store, it is so cool it wraps around and clasps with these two gold buckles, i will have to take close up shots next time. I bought these boots back in October and completely forgot about them until now, they are kindof beat up if your look at them to closely but for three dollars they are awesome bargain!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!! I meant to post more over the holidays but i have been busier than i thought. I wanted to thank everyone for all your nice comments about my glasses on my last post they made me feel so much better about wearing them out about!!! I bought them at Hakim Optical in their 2 for 1 deal and i think the designer was Stella Vista. I took these photos in late November before it got to chilly although all of our snow has melted now :(. So these are my new glasses!!! I picked them up yesterday and i was so happy i liked how they looked still although my perscription is a bit off so i think i will have to get the lenses changed since they are way fuzzier than my old glasses. I have been wanting to do a blog give away for a long time now (ever since i got 200 hundred followers wahoo!!!) and i thought it would nice to do it around the holdiays :). I finally decided that it should be this sweater although I totally wavered when i put this outfit together since it is soooo pretty but i wanted the giveaway to include everyone and i think the sweater will look great on people of all different sizes. I really miss the warmer weather for taking outfit photos, i got outside and had to quit in all of ten minutes the other day. I hadnt planned on my scarf or hat being in these photos but i totally underestimated how cold the wind was which is why there are no photos of me looking at the camera. I kept trying to smile and it turned into this frightening grimace thing!! The last time i wore this leopard print shirt was in these photos which are pretty much my favourite i have ever taken. I found it at my local thrift store for only $2 and i always wonder why i dont use it more often when i find it underneath a pile of clothing in my room. I dont know whether or not i have admitted this before but i am just a tiny bit messy no matter how hard i try the clothes always gravitate from the closet to the floor :). Also I just wanted to thank everyone for all of your comments they really are so awesome and always make me feel so much better if i am depressed or down, so i really do appreciate them!! I wear contacts regularly but today i went and picked out some new frames which i am so excited to get!!!! I always find it so hard to find glasses that look good on me and i just love these ones, i got right into the whole big geeky glasses trend so hopefully those dont go out of style for a while :). I love to wear black which you have probably noticed from most of my outfit posts but red has got to be my favourite colour (blacks a shade right?). My sister found me this red leather purse in Value Village and i have used it alot since then, you can find the best bags in thrift stores, my local one sells them for like three dollars it is insane. I bought this shirt on one of my shopping sprees in the summer, my oldest sister had a baby in august (he is the cutest thing ever :)) so my other sister and been down to visit him alot since then. The problem is we always stop at the Value Village everytime and i cannot resist a baragain so my closet is over flowing with stuff. I was actually thinking about setting up a ebay store sometime so i could sell some of the clothes i love but still haven't worn yet. My computer has been acting up a bit, i did post something yesterday but i accidently deleted after it went through this huge freeze and shut down thing. I cant for the life of me figure out where i saved those photos though to redo it so oh well i guess, i am so untech savy!! I hope everyone has a nice evening!!

It was actually snowing when i took these photos!!! Thankfully it has all melted but still to be totally nerdy and quote Game Of Thrones, winter is coming. I promise that will be the last time i complain the cold :), so how do you like my new boots? I just love how knee high ones can add something special to a outfit. I havent been happy about my photos lately (I will admit i am a bit to picky about things) but i have been having problems with my camera focussing lately and my posing skills seem to be declining at a very fast rate lol. When i wore this skirt out the family had some funny comments, calling it my loincloth or bandgage which made me laugh. It is uber short although i do wear leggings with it so i thought that maybe didnt make it so bad. I mean girls wear just plain leggings as pants and i was totally horrified but i saw one chick just wearing sheer ones and this small sweater once in Value Village. Just make sure your bum is covered and you are all good. I am a very mortified to admit i wore this skirt out by itself in the summer though, looking back on that deftinitely not a good decision. The weather has gotten alot colder very fast, i think it is even supposed to snow tomorrow!! Ugh last winter was very long and lonely so i am not really looking forward to the next few months. But here are some awesome cold weather inspiration pictures i found, i love every single coat so much and I really want to find a fur hat like that first one, it just looks so awesome!! Other news i finally got a pair of over the knee riding boots that i have been wearing around the house all day because i like them so much :) Sometimes i can get into size elevens at Aldo and other times i definitely can't, the shoes vary so much there so it is really exciting when something finally fits. Super simple outfit this time. I had such a hard time editing these photos to get some i could use, it was so cold out i didnt bother checking them to much at the time and sure enough most of the pics were totally whited out. Plus i got into this very weird lean thing where my feet where straight but the rest was all over the place, so it was not good!! I have been wearing jeans alot lately, these ones in particular are very comfortable although i am inbetween sizes (i hate when that happens), my legs and waist are two different sizes so the whole saggy bum thing is a problem. I bought this striped top the other day, there was a sale so i got two for the price of one. I grabbed the largest size because i thought they would be great oversized shirt and didnt bother to try them on. Big mistake, when i got home i put one on and it was way bigger than i had thought i only wanted it to slightly oversized. So always always try things on, this has happened before but i never seem to learn better, anyways they work tucked in with something over them or with bodycon skirts so its not a total loss a size or two smaller would have been perfect though. Sometimes i think i could definitely be the posterchild for Value Village. I think the majority of my clothes are from there, i can always find something good whenever i am in one of their stores. It has been really cold here but the weather finally warmed up so i could wear this cardigan outside without freezing. I love how it is super flowy, when i first tried it on i was wearing high waisted shorts and it looked very bohoish with them so that and the price sold me on it. I found this scarf at Ardenes and i just love the burgundy colour, i think i am going to have to go back there and stock up on a few more in different colours before winter. This is the blog debut of my leather pants i mentioned a very long time ago!!! I was so excited when i found these in H&M i have wanted leather leggings or pants for at least two years now and i could actually afford these ones :). They are super comfortable which kindof surprised me and really really warm. I wore them to a show and it was so bloody hot inside the bar my legs were burning. It totally made me think of that one Friends episode where Ross takes his leather pants off because he is hot and cant get them back on lol. My scarf is kindof special, my sister gave it to me when i was twelve as gift when she got back from Italy. I dont think i wore it for about five years but now it is definitely one of my favourite items. Have a great weekend everyone!!

I have been seeing some great knit sweaters on the blogosphere lately which inspired me to break out this one out from the back of my closet. I think i bought it last summer, i just love the mustard colour and i can wear leggings with it, usually i cant find things long enough for me to do that!! Getting my wisdom teeth removed really wasnt to bad, thanks to everyone who wished me luck :). It wasnt very painful afterwards and i didnt get too puffy, the medication i took the last few days made me feel a ill so i think that was the worst part!! You can kindof see my new hair in these photos, i straightened it so it would be longer. I dont think i will be able to wear it wavy for a little while since it just goes into a giant puff ball but i am going to try and get closer photos of all the layers next time. Another inspiration post. I was away the last two days and the weather has been absolutely terrible so i havent been able to get out to take photos in ages and ages. I am getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday, i am really nervous!!! I have never had any kindof surgery before or even a tooth pulled, anyone who has had it done was it really painful afterwards? I am hoping i will be able to take outfit pictures before then because i might be pretty scary looking afterwards when i am all bruised and puffy lol. Other news i got my hair cut and it is much much much shorter than before, i think i lost three or four inches. I knew when i went into the salon they were going to be horrified at all of my split ends because there was alot. But when she showed me how much she was going to take off it really didnt look like all that much until it was gone and then i had a minor heart attack. There are lots of layers and it really does look much healthier, she did a lovely job but i just loved my long hair soooooooo much. It will grow though that is what i keep telling myself, i will have to get better at styling it in the meantime. I hope everyone is having a good day!!

I have searched thrift stores for the perfect plaid shirt for a very lllooonnngggg time, it has been surprsingly difficult to find but finally i found one i liked!!! I just love the dark muted colours and it has blue elbow pads, how cool is that, definitely havent found many shirts with those. I found this plain grey shirt in the mens section of Value Village for three dollars. I always forget to buy basic things when i am thrift shopping because there is always so much great unique stuff. I really need to stock up on some plain tshirts, they are beyond handy and i am really into super simple outfits at the moment. You can kindof see in the photos that i tried to do something with my hair, i curled it with my hair straightener :). It looked a bit better in real life though, the wind while i was taking these was terrible, there were so many bad blooper pics. Finally here are my acid wash jeans i talked about a little ago while, i just wore them for the first time yesterday!! I was really excited when i first bought them but then as i mentioned before i have been shopping alot lately and i kindof forgot about them. But i seriously think i need to wear them more, for a such a light wash jean they are surprisingly flattering (my legs dont look to ginormous) and of course very cool looking :). In real life they are quite blue, i think because i took these photos right at sunset it changed their colour a bit. I really really love this outfit now i wasnt to sure when i got dressed because i was in a hurry but it is pretty much all of my favourite things worn together. Yes that is my scarf again, i am a little bit obessed with it at the moment and when i love something i want to wear it ALL of time lol it is just feels very me or something. It is really freezing cold out right now, about five degrees but i have some great slightly warmer weather outfits planned and after cleaning some of my closet i think i might do a give away very soon :). I would like to introduce everyone to my absolute favourite scarf...ever. The tie dye is soooooooo pretty, when i saw it on the shelf it was totally love at first sight and i had a gift certificate (wahoo) but the actual price was six dollars. I went on a MAJOR shopping spree last week and now i literally have no money which is slightly depressing but i got so much good stuff!!!! I was really tempted to do a haul post, generally when i shop i only get a few things at a time and yup definitely did not do that this time. I finally found my perfect plaid shirt in Value Village,it has blue elbow patches (so cool!!!) and my absolute favourite purchase was fake leather pants from H&M, they are so awesome i cannot wait to wear them somewhere!! My sister and i joined the Value Village Super Savers Club which i highly recommend since you get 25% off coupon, it is so worth while. From now till Christmas, i am only allowed to buy a winter coat if i find a good one or cardigans because i only have two grey ones at the moment and a girl just cannot survive on those alone :). The song i used for this post is amazing i have been listening to it on repeat for about three days now, i really really wish i could sing. I hope everyone had a good week!!!

I dont know what it is about this blazer but everytime i take outfit photos with it i always really like them!! i have worn it twice before (here, here) and much to my dismay this outfit is pretty much the exact same as the second one but oh well. I have had the blazer for three years and there was a time when i almost threw it away because i didnt like how long it was, crazy right now that is what i like the best about it!! I went through a faze last year were i didnt wear jeans or pants ever for about eight months (pretty much froze the entire winter) because i am not fond of how they fit and make my legs look. But now i have kindof accepted that is just the way they are and am totally loving jeans, i would also really like to find a nice pair of of skinny green cargo pants. I got these boots the other day in the mail and can you believe the price, with tax they came to fifteen dollars, i was so excited!!! Online shoe stores have been having great sales lately, i just cant resist them. This is a very special post because i am featuring my sister on here for the very first time (pictures below)!! She has fab style and i always want to steal something she is wearing. I love to go thrift shopping with her, you get us into Value Village together and we are there for a good solid two to three hours. She is wearing her new Americal Apparel pants which are awesome, she did say i could borrow them (wahoo) i think they would look pretty damn sweet with my leather jacket :). I have had these pictures for a little while and i had decided not post them because the outfit is rather blah and i was having major flash problems that day everything whited out!! But i wont be able to get out to take photos for a little while and i wanted to keep some regular posting schedule so here they are. I bought this skirt in the summer, i couldnt resist the fact it was bodycon and dark plum colour. I am totally banning myself from buying anymore of that type skirts i counted my collection the other day and i own about seven so thats seems like enough for now lol. Although one night when i was up way to late looking through ebay i did purchase a bodycon dress from h&m which i kindof shake my head at now, i am crossing my fingers that it will look alright. Dont you just love receiving packages in the mail, it is always so exciting when you go to the post office and one is there. A few weeks ago i was contacted by Misikko customer service about reviewing their Hana 1.5" Flat Iron which i was thrilled to try out. As you can see from my other outfit photos my hair is normally pretty wavy, my hair routine at the moment is to shower, brush my bangs and let the rest do its own thing. This was definitely the Best Hair Straightener i have ever used without a doubt. I am ashamed to admit but i have only used total cheapies from Wall Mart or drug stores where your hair would get caught in the jagged plates and you would totally have to yank it out in huge sections. I havent straightened my hair in months so i was kindof shocked how different I looked!!! It left my hair really straight, shiny and soft, i made my sister touch it to prove my point which might have gotten a response somewhere along the lines of you are a weirdo lol but she did agree with me. Overall it is a excellent straightener and Misikko customer service was awesome, very fast shipping especially to Canada and there is a picture below which shows the pretty packaging :). The only con i can think of is they are a bit on the pricey side especially if you are totally broke like me. But as far as investing in good quality hair products goes definitely check out their website and other products like the original chi flat iron which from the online reviews i read sounds great as well.

I really love my red leather purse which my sister found for me at Value Village. I dont generally wear alot of colour so it totally brightens up all of my monochromatic outfits. I havent worn heels in a long time, definitely forgot how tall i am in these bad boys i am almost pushing 6'1. This outfit was one i wore constantly during the summer, i have worn this skirt on here alot (here, here) it is definitely one of my favourite staple items. I do like the whole crop top thing although i would never be brave enough to wear them with anything that wasnt high waisted. This was definitely my longest post ever (anyone who read it all good for you!!), i hope everyone is having a good weekend :).

I bought this Ramones tshirt a few months ago on ebay. I totally love the band tshirt thing but i never wear this one becuase to be honest it just smells funky!!!! That is definitely one of the pitfalls of ebay although i havent had a problem before. I did google ways to remove the smell but nothing seems to have worked so i figured maybe if i wore it out and about more it would lessen. That logic didnt seem to work to well so i think the shirt will have to go back to the bottom of my dresser, how depressing :(. As you can see i have been in a bit of a shorts/ denim faze lately although I cant make up my mind whether or not the white shorts really go with this outfit. They are one of my best thrifting deals (Guess shorts for two dollars, what a bargain!!) and but the flash totally whited them out despite my best editing efforts. I think my blue denim shorts would probably have looked better with the rest of the outfit. Is anyone else really excited for fall fashion!!! I decided a few days ago i am really going to dedicate more time to blogging and get back to posting more often (i swear i say this every other post, dead serious this time though lol). I havent really felt like dressing up to much the last few months, lately i have been really into more simple casual outfits. I just ordered these flats last week and i totally love them now, they are my very first pair!! I got super inspired to finally get some after going through the entire archives of this blog, so amazing i would seriously LOVE to have her entire wardrobe. I think the leopard print is just so cute on these and now want to invest in a black and red pair as well. I really dont know how i lived without owning a single pair of flats before, they are just so handy! Yesterday while shopping in Value Village i found a pair of acid wash skinny jeans in my size which instantly made me smile and hurry off to the change rooms to try them on. Last summer i tried on a pair in Bluenotes but i decided i didnt want to shell out fifty dollars for jeans i could very possibly not like in a month. I have regretted that decision off and on all year whenever i saw another blogger looking pretty damn cool in something acid wash. So i bought them for $8 which is a much better investment in case i do decide i dont like them eventually (mine really look like the pair in the third photo). I cant wait for the weather to get a little cooler so i can wear them and take outfit photos!! How do you feel about acid wash and would you wear it??

I just love this tshirt i got on the sale rack at H&M, i swear i wear it at least once a week. It is just so comfy and looseish when not tucked into something and the "not" gun violence slogan is a excellent message (cute and political gotta love that right). I dont generally do blog photos when i am wearing shorts without tights, i really dont like how my muscular legs look in them but i dont mind these ones to much. I just looooovvvveeeee my new purse which i bought last week in Guelph. I think it looks a bit bohoish/rockerish with the black leather finge which suits me so perfectly. I am not much of a accessory person, i have had the same purse for the last four years and i still love it but lately i have been on a bit of a handbag spree (i now have red and brown bag plus this one). A really girly outfit this time!!!! Recently i was told by my best friend that all i wear is tight, shorts things which kindof made me laugh since she does have a good point. I have been really into those bodycon skirts lately and i am not gonna lie i love shorter hemlines which probably isnt going to change any time soon but i thought i would photograph a prettier girlier outfit then my last two posts even though the skirt is still short. I bought this shirt a few weeks ago in Value Village along with this awesome red leather purse which you will see very shortly. I just love polka dots and looking through my closet i discovered i own alot of polka dot shirts but i justified purchasing this one since it had the pretty collar on the front making it totally different from my other ones. Dont you just love the cameo necklace my cousin gave me for my ninteenth birthday, she makes them herself i really wish i was talented enough to do that!! She is opening up a etsy shop really soon which i will link to you all once i figure out how to make a button??? Does anyone have any tips or websites which explain that, i would really appreciate it!! I take all of my outfit photos at my grandfathers place (the brick wall, field) and the corn crop has gotten huge so i bushwacked my way out into it to take photos. Hello everybody!!!!!!!! i cant believe i havent posted in almost a month and i used to feel like a crapper blogger when i didnt in a week, yikes. I have had these pictures on the computer for a very long time but i never got around to posting them before i went on a two week camping trip which i just got home from :). I am really going to try getting back into a regular posting schedule at least once a week but hopefully more than that! How do you like my new sandals everyone!!!! As i mentioned in previous posts it has been a struggle to find some that fit me but i finally got two pairs a few weeks ago. I really miss fall and spring clothes, the summer is lovely but you can only wear two maybe three things it is much harder to come up with new outfits. I havent posted in over two weeks (ugh how terrible) so i thought i might write something a bit more in this one then my usual stuff. I read these two (Part 1, Part 2) articles a few weeks ago which really resonated with me. I know when i first started blogging it was hard to think immediately that i needed to lose ten or more pounds after seeing the photos i took of myself. It took me ages before i could post something on a site like Lookbook were everyone is thin, gorgeous and looks straight out of a magazine. I would consider myself pretty normal/average looking but it is difficult not to compare how i look to other bloggers. I wont ever be a size zero just not built for it there are things i would totally change about my face (my lack of a good chin for one) and dont even get me started on my legs. But i think everyone has those insecurities and good days were you think you might look alright and then others when you pretty much just want to wear a paper bag lol. I know love fashion blogs written by regular girls who when you read there posts you feel like you can relate to them on some level. I would love to hear everyones thoughts on the articles and i hope you all have a lovely evening :)

I was quite excited about this outfit as it is the first time in almost a year i have been able to wear these shorts somewhat comfortably. A few months ago i couldnt um get them done up even after five minutes of pulling, tugging squeezing and sucking in. Then if i could button them it was not a very pretty site so i was thrilled when i put them on the other day without a problem. I am pretty straight up and down aka no waist so they are still a little tighter there then i would like i think eating anything might be a problem. But hopefully in a little while they will fit perfectly. I love my black boots soooooo much and they will be sorely missed when the weather gets to hot for me to wear them. I've ordered two pairs of sandals which should arrive sometime this week so cross your fingers these babies fit me as i am starting to get a little frantic in my search for some!! I had a hard time getting these pictures again ( i think i getting into a slump!) at one point i was just going to quit but my sister came out and took so funny photos of me jumping or posing with the watering can :). They were hilarious and i looked much happier in my photos afterwards, i didnt include any of those but i was thinking sometime i should do a blooper post becuase they were pretty funny. I am not impressed with these photos at all, i was quite fond of the outfit so i am really disappointed. Looking through all of the pictures i took i think these were the worst face photos i have taken basically ever. I looked like i wanted to pummel someone which is pretty much how i felt so i guess it was fitting, definitely not a good day! I have been such a shit blogger (sorry excuse the language but it is true) i havent been posting or commenting at all which i feel really crappy about, kindof going through a little depressed period but hopefully i will get back into the swing of things soon. On a better note last time i wore these wedges my toe hurt so bad i could barely stand after thirty minutes but it barely twinged at all this time so i think i can wear these babies a little more often, although i am over six feet when i have them on! I didnt really mean for this post to a advertisement for Tim Hortons but the only photos which were remotely ok were the ones where i was holding my drink. Aren't these sunglasses awesome?! i just love the gold on the top, i borrowed these from my sister when i very conviently forgot my own at home and it was super bright out. She bought them at a Value Village for about two dollars and i am so jealous :) i totally need to find a pair. So it has been a really long time since i have posted a really girly outfit. This is definitely more my old style then what i would describe as my style now, its funny how fast those things can change even when i look back just a few months ago. These aren't the best photos, i was in a downer mood today and you could totally tell in my pictures, i kept making dorky faces so these were all i got. It rained right before i took them so i included my "ohmygod i am stepping on a worm reaction" (third photo), they along with frogs are the slimy things i absolutely cannot stand they just creep the crap out of me!!!! I bought this tunic a little while ago, originally i actually got it for a beach cover up which i thought it would be perfect for but i really like it how it looked with my jean jacket so it is definitely going to be used for a variety of purposes. So this outfit is super simple but i love it just the same. I definitely think sometimes i mistake simplicity for being boring which is so not the case!!! There is something so chic about a white tshirt and blue jeans. I got these babies at value village and have pretty much wearing them non stop since. The two things i dislike about jeans is that fact the absolutely EVERYONE wears them constantly were i live and i can never find any to fit my very muscular thighs. These outfit photos were a bit of a struggle to get!!! The neighbor was outside in his yard...again i swear he is out there every freaking time i take photos, i generally try and duck somewhere out of view. So after i did that my camera died after about thirty frames so i was really pleased i had enough pictures for a post!! This is a really simple outfit, i totally love the asymmetrical hem on this shirt, i think polka dots are right up there with stripes and florals for being my favourite type of print. The list of blogs i follow in my blogger dashboard hasn't been working for about a week now so i am totally behind on blog updates!! I am sorry that these photos are a bit whited out it was super sunny!! i did my best to edit them to look better but they are still a little washed out and i swear my leather vest is not shiny :). I bought it about a month ago and it was finally warm enough to wear it out and about this week. Lately i havent had the best luck in thrift stores but today my sister and i were in the city for a doctors appointment and i found some lovely things at the Value Village!!!! i got two pairs of blue skinny jeans since i have been loving pants alot lately, a striped over sized shirt and a black fringe crop top which is quite possibly the coolest thing i have ever found thrifting (promise to take photos soon) for a grand total of $28. It is so hard to go into regualar stores after second hand, the prices just seem ridiculously expensive!! The brick wall looks completely different in these pics compared to my previous post, i wonder if taking them at different times of day affects the colour? I hope everyone has a great day!!

I would like to introduce my "new" thrifted wedges which i got for the awesome price of three dollars!! A few days ago i went shopping with my friend while i visited my old town and i found these babies in one of the thrift stores we went to. I can never find shoes in my size so this was very exciting and the fact they were super cheap was awesome. I found out today one of my big toenails is cracked in half, i have no idea how that happend (if i had dropped something it would have been so painful i would remember!) and i just cannot wear peep toe shoes for more then five minutes before it starts to throb, sooooooo disappointed. This outfit is a bit repetitive i think i have worn both the jacket and dress on here a thousand times, i havent been feeling very creative outfit wise lately. Hopefully that passes soon and have lovely day everyone :)

Happy belated Easter!!! i hope everyone had a lovely weekend and ate lots of yummy food, i know i sure did (there were these homemade cinnamon buns that were just ridiculously good). I have gotten a bit sick of skirts and have been wearing pants way more lately, definitely need to pick up another pair though since i really only have these ones! I wear this black blazer literally all of the time, i bought it a few years ago and it just goes with absolutely everything. I have alot of blazers, about six or seven but it is the one i turn to when i really have no idea what to wear. I wasnt very happy with these photos they didn't turn out very well which is why there is only two, i promise better posts soon and more frequently!! For a while i was debating about getting a new blog header but i am really attached to my old one, its been there for ages so i edited it in photoshop a bit today and i think it looks so much better :). This outfit was a bit of a step out of my usual style as i am wearing two different colours together, i know it is rather shocking!! I love to wear black, if i do wear colour it is generally just one and then all neutrals. But this outfit was inspired by the lovely Courtney of Love Me ... Love Me Not in this outfit. I just loved the colour combination of her outfit and i knew i immediately needed to wear those colours together. I feel like a terrible blogger for almost going to two weeks without a post...yeesh not good. I have been trying to take outfit photos all week and they all were terrible, either to dark or light to use inspite all of my editing efforts. I bought this skirt on a recent shopping trip, there was a two for one sale (seriously love those) so i also got a cute black polka dot one!!! I was determined to save money so they were the only two things i purchased which was a bit depressing but i was proud of my cheapness :). I am quite happy to say spring has finally arrived here and it was down right warm when i took these pictures which was sooooo exciting. I love tights and all but i am looking foreward to the day when i don't have to wear them. My bangs have grown so fast and were way to long to be worn straight foreward so i tried a bit of different hairstyle here. I have to admit i like the full bangs and want to keep them for a while longer so i trimmed them up last night. I totally recommend watching videos on youtube on how to cut a fringe, they are seriously so helpful. I hope everyone had a wonderful week!!

Now don't let these photos fool you it was so bloody cold while i was taking these photos!!!! i was totally underdressed and probably needed my winter coat, it just looked so nice outside while i was in my toasty warm living room. I was watching Grease on tv the other day and totally decided to channel my inner John Travolta and pop the collar of my jacket for these photos :). Yup you are seeing clearly ladies and maybe some gentlemen :) i am wearing pants!!! I have not worn jeans in a long long long time especially not on here, i think i have only taken outfit photos once with some ages ago when i first started blogging. Originally i was wearing my black bodycon skirt and tights with this outfit while we were shopping in the city. But I got these babies in Bluenotes for about seventy percent off!!!! I had been looking for blue jeans and i could have sworn in the store they looked dark blue but when i got them out in the car i realized they were really black. I have a hard time finding pants which fit my um "muscular" legs they are always to tight on the thighs or falling down at the waist so i decided to keep these anyways because i really loved them! We stopped to visit my aunt and uncle which is where i took these photos and i decided to change into them because it was ridiculously cold and that skirt isn't the warmest thing to be wearing :). I seriously love how the barn looks in these photos, i wish i had something like it in my back yard!! I think this blouse is one of my best thrifted bargains, i bought it in the summer and remember being unsure if i liked leopard print (i have no idea what i was thinking!!). It was fifty percent and only two dollars so i couldn't resist getting it, thank goodness :). I would like to introduce everyone to my absolute favourite thrifted blazer. I had been searching for the perfect one with gold buttons and found this baby back in January. There is a kindof funny story about why i have never worn it. A few days after i bought the blazer i popped one front buttons much to my alarm. I always misplace things so i set it aside in a special drawer until i finally got around it sewing it back on. Well one day i got out the button, thread,needle and then set them on my bed so i could start. I can't remember why i had to leave but once i came back my thread and needle where right where i left them but the bloody button was absolutely no where to be found, i searched and searched but it was completely m.i.a. So finally after two months of not wearing the blazer i decided to bite the bullet and cut off the buttons on the pockets, sew them up and use one on the front. After finishing that and taking my outfit photos i was rummaging through my drawers to find something when i found an old winter hat and when i picked it up, out fell the infamous button. I have no idea how it got there but i am quite happy to finally have found it and already reattached the other two to the pockets!! I wore this outfit on Tuesday to the movies but just edited these photos today. I just got photoshop and am completely in love with it, not going to lie it is SO hard to stop playing around with the different settings. I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Wahoo today was the first day i have been able to get out to take photos since my last post it has been raining or snowing non stop (ugh). I actually wore this outfit on Wednesday to a Joel Plaskett concert with my sister which was really good!!! I love when bands sound better live then on their cd. I have become seriously obsessed with high waisted denim shorts after seeing so many bloggers looking awesome in theirs, so i decided to get out my pair i thrifted and cutoff last year. These are definitely going to be a new staple in my wardrobe from now on!! The lovely Hannah of The Fashion Genie asked me to do a interview a little while ago which was beyond exciting since it was the first time that has happend to me!!! I think i totally jinxed the weather by saying the snow was melting because it all came back again :(. I really can't wait for warmer weather, the whole freezing cold thing is getting awfully old now! I found this blouse in the summer on sale and only wore it once or twice since then, same with the cardigan i have only worn it once!!!! That really is terrible, i think i need to do a closet cleanse immediately because there is no way these babies should be covered with heaps of other things and never get worn. After i put on this outfit i thought it looked very Zooey Deschanel-esque, i just love her style in this She & Him video! A few days ago i purchased some body con skirts on ebay i was super excited because the H&M closest to me only has black ones and i definitely need some colour to liven up my wardrobe (they were turquoise, purple and grey). I asked the seller if she combined shipping and she said she did but after i won them the invoice i recieved said i needed to pay for each item seperately which adds up to a ton in shipping!!! So i sent her a email two days ago about that and still have not gotten a response so i am seriously starting to get worried. I am not going to pay for each individual skirt when they are supposed to be combined together, they are all going into one package anyways. I am going to send another message today but i really hope she responds soon!! I wouldn't have purchased them if i knew i couldn't get combined shipping, has anything like this happened to anyone else? As always i have a lot of school work to do so i hope everyone has a lovely evening!!

I would like to introduce everybody to my trusty old winter coat. I bought it three or four years ago after searching ages to find a cute but warm jacket, it is shocking what some stores call a "winter" coat they are all so thin!!!! As you can see the snow is back (boo) and and there is a nasty snow storm blowing around as i type. My sister took these photos of me on Sunday when we went for a walk around town. I generally take all of my outfit photos using a tripod and timer so excuse my funny faces, i am not used to having a actual photographer!! I really love this sweater although it does make me look a bit chunky, i have loads of outfit ideas for it so you will probably be seeing it again in the very near future! I felt a bit parisian in this outfit, i think it must be the stripes and beret :). Did anyone see the new Gossip Girl episode, the suspense always kills me but i totally love cliffhanger endings and i have to admit i do like Blair and Dan together. So as part of the award i am supposed to share some things about me now i think there were supposed to be seven points but i got completely stumped at five, does anyone else find those hard to do? 1. Nineties Tv Shows

Beverly Hills 90210 (old version), Dawsons Creek, Freaks and Geeks, Friends, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc you name i am totally obsessed old tv shows! Laughing at the clothing choices is definitely part of the appeal :)

2. I only ever paint my nails black

I can never remember to repaint my nails, so i find it so much easier to paint them black and then i don't have to worry about any clashing colours!!

3. I have never dyed my hair

There was one incident with Sun-In one summer which turned my hair a bit reddish but other then that i have never highlighted or dyed my hair.

4. I never wear... ear rings

When i was thirteen i had this huge obsession with ear rings. The bigger, longer, flashier they were the better (looking back at photos now is just torture they look awful!!). This lasted for about a year until i got one caught in my hair at school. After that i decided i hated how they looked on me and stopped wearing them. I think the only time i have worn any since that was my sisters wedding!!

5. Favourite Junk Food

Oh i just love Cheetos i always always want these when i am feeling sad or depressed, all of the artificial flavours are just soooooo yummy and comforting :).

I took these photos on friday when i could actually wear my leather jacket without freezing to death and i must say it is so nice to have extra photos just lying around to use!! I generally just take photos of my outfit and post the same day so this was a fab change since i don't feel to good today (upset stomach...ugh). It was so so so windy while i took them, there were some very comical shots with my hair everywhere and my dress blown up Marilyn Monroe style. I bought the dress and leggings on my shopping trip last week, i generally like all black leggings or tights so these were a big change!! I can't say my families reaction was particularly positive, the general response was "wow they are quite busy eh" oh well i can't say they really ever like what i wear. Does anyone else seriously love long sleeved mini dresses, as someone who is always cold the extra warmth is definitely appreciated. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Hello everybody, for the last few days a friend of mine came up to visit me which was quite exciting and we were rather busy which explains my blogging abscence!!! i am terribly behind on blog updates and replying to comments i hope to catch up over the next few days :). We took these photos a couple of days ago after walking around downtown. I wasn't wearing any eye makeup because i had a optometrist appointment so i was little wary about taking pictures (i love my liquid eyeliner alot) but i didn't mind the outcome! i am wearing the grey boots i mentioned in the last post which i decided to keep, they are the most comfortable things to walk in which totally won me over. We went shopping yesterday so i have some lovely new things to show you, it is seriously a good thing i don't live closer to that H&M, i would have absolutely no money!! I am super tired today we managed to watch an entire season of Dawsons Creek (seriously love that show) during her visit so i didn't get to much sleep!! I hope everyone had a lovely week!!!

As you can see i love my biker boots and have been wearing them pretty much constantly since i got them!! Actually i ordered another pair of similar grey ones which fit and everything but i don't know if i am sold on the colour, it's a lightish grey so i might do a return or keep post on them because i need help deciding!!!! I got my hair fixed on thursday, it is still quite uneven (ugh) but not quite as gappingly obvious as before. I just want to thank everyone for the lovely comments on my hair, i never wore it up because i have a very round face so that was totally out of my comfort zone, they really meant so much to me!!! These are terrible hair photos though, i was visiting my aunt and uncle which is where i took the photos and played on their Wii (there was this dancing game thingie sooooo much fun) for about two hours so it was completely dishevelled. My Iron Man tshirt is my absolute favourite and i will let you in on my dirty little secret that i am completely geeky at heart and obsessed with superhero action movies. I bought this one in the summer but at some point i want to get the whole collection, Batman, Superman, Spiderman you name it :). I decided that i should use a name on my blog because i haven't up until this point (i can't go by prettyniftythriftyfashion girl forever!!) on my email account i use my middle name so i thought i would do the same here (it's Elizabeth). Brrrrr i felt so cold while i took these photos, i literally lasted five minutes and ran immediately inside!! But i was really happy that i had enough photos to make a post, i have been in a little bit of a slump lately with taking pictures and making outfits, i just can't seem to put anything together that i like. Tomorrow i finally get my hair fixed (the whole hair story is in the last post)!!! The salon had weird hours and whenever i went they were closed (yup i swear it was just to annoy me more) so i had to call and make a appointment so they can fix the front. I hate doing that kindof stuff, if it was tiny bit off i wouldn't care but it is quite noticeable and will only take them a few minutes to even up so whatever. You Won't Decieve Me, And I Find It Easy

I finally got the hair cut i been mentioning for about ever. I seriously hate getting my hair cut and this one just added to that feeling about a hundred million times. It cost a absolute fortune and there is literally a chunk of hair missing from the front on the right side. I didn't notice it to much until i washed my hair a few days later but i wanted small front layers and the left side looks nice but on the right two inches higher then the rest of my hair is this massive diagonal cut, it looks awful!! i really am just devasted i put off getting it cut for so long and is a disaster. Tomorrow i am going back to the god damn salon and getting them to fix it becuase there is no bloody way i am paying someone else to fix their mistake because it is beyond just a bit noticeable. By the time it gets fixed and evened up all of the length i had will be gone, ugh you had better believe i am never going to that craptastic place again. Sorry about the rant, it's just i am attached to my hair and long hair in general so this is just a little upsetting. I love this blazer it is one of the first thrifted things i bought at my favourite store and it is Le Chateau whose clothes i just love but can never afford so the four dollar price tag was such a bargain!!! I think i have mentioned this before but red and black is my absolute favourite colour combination. I am finding it really hard to wear any colour lately, black seems to suit my mood better. It's probably the weather i am not looking foreward to another two months of snow!! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend :).

Right after i finished typing out where everything in this outfit was from i realized most of it was free!! I love when that happens or if i make a all thrifted outfit, i always feel so economical :). I was so disappointed yesterday as i realized one of the studs on my boots had come off ALREADY, i mean i just wore the bloody things once and they are already breaking, soooo disappointing. I am hoping to find some similar studs in a craft shop to replace it and then i can totally pimp them out even more if i want to. This outfit is a little plain but it's my lazy day/ feeling the cold staple. The fur lined vest and mustard sweater are some of the warmest things i own, add in my american apparel winter leggings and it is a very cozy outfit . I also wore another wool sweater underneath to take these photos because the wind was down right bone chilling!!! I keep meaning to take photos of my complete winter outfit that includes hat, mitts, scarf, coat etc. because i do wear those things over the outfits in my photos. Generally i just take the pictures in my backyard so i run out there holding my camera/tripod and make little dashes back inside when i get cold. Last night i went to the theater and saw No Strings Attached, it was cute like all chick flicks are, Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher were adorable together. A little predictable but i would recommend it if you want a slightly dirty cute movie to watch. I hope everyone had a wonderful day!!

Hello everybody!!!! I have gotten in the awful habit of posting every six or seven days, i need to get back to my regular schedule and do two or three posts a week. I wore this outfit last night to a concert/play with my sister, mom and aunt. My mom had thought it was a play which is why we decided to go (i love plays) but it turned out just to be a band singing. Well the hilarious thing was the average age of the audience was about seventy and my sister and i were the youngest people there by far. At one point we made plans to leave and go do something else in case it was boring but actually it was the funniest thing i have ever seen. The lead singer was so tiny and his dancing was just hilarious he bounced all over the stage doing moves i have never seen before, i was in stitches the entire time!! Oh and i got serenaded when he came off the stage which made me laugh even more so overall i had a good time which was a bit unexpected. I have worn this dress on here before (link), originally i wanted to wear a blazer instead of the cardigan but i had popped off one of the buttons so when i went to sew it on yesterday i had the thread and button but i left to drop my mom off at work and when i returned the button was absolutely nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere and could still not find the dumb little thing so i had to scrap that plan and just grabbed my moms sweater. I really hope i find it soon since the blazer is my absolute favourite and doesn't look right with a missing button (they are these lovely gold ones with a crest). I have been having a horrible time getting a pair of boots, absolutely nothing has fit my big feet, i had to return about four pairs already. So i was ridiculously happy when these ones arrived and they fit perfectly!!! I really wanted a pair of engineer boots, biker boots whatever they are called after i saw the ones Effy wore throughout the third season of Skins. These actually have some studs on the front although they are snow covered in these photos and are super comfortable which i desperately needed since heels kill my feet after a few hours. I wasn't feeling very well the last few days so need to catch up on all of the blog updates i missed and reply to comments (i am terribly behind on that, so sorry!!!!) Don't you just love lace, it is so pretty!!! The temperature was minus one degrees today and it was down right balmy outside, ok i am kidding but i thought it would be a excellent time to show you my lace cardigan without freezing the second i stepped out the door (it was still cold though). I found my top the other day thrift shopping and just loved the colour/ruffles instantly, i wish i had more photos showing it a bit better but yet again most of my pictures were complete duds so i will just have to wear it again very soon. I was so pleased to find this skirt in my H&M as it is almost the exact copy of the one i had from Charlotte in the clothing swap which i quite loved. The store was really picked over while i was there but i would like to get some different coloured body con skirts next time. 100th Blog Post

100th blog post wow, i can't believe i posted on this blog that many times!!! For this special occasion i thought i would share some outfits i have taken over that time (number seven is my favourite, the lighting was amazing!). When i first started this blog i don't think i had even read a fashion blog or any blog really... ever. I actually got the idea for starting a blog from a tv show mentioning bloggers and i thought i would check it out. It makes me just cringe to look at the first three or four months of my archives i was so tempted to delete them since they are hideous (promise not to look at them k). As some one who had dodged getting her photo taken regularly for years it took a long time to get used to taking outfit photos and relaxing my face so i didn't look like i was mad as hell!!! And don't even get me started on some of my early outfits, i can't say they were my style as i was going through a bit of a fashion crisis, there was a period before i started blogging where i wore all black and i purchased some crazy things after i got out of that faze. But i think i hit my stride about the end of august/early september and really discovered the things i want to wear in the process saving myself a butt load of money by not buying things i won't wear!! I just want to thank everyone for all of the lovely comments they really do mean so much to me, nothing makes a crappy day seem a little better then reading them :). It's Your Eyes That Make Me Smile

Lately i have been wearing my leather jacket as a sweater because i love it to much not to wear it. Right now it is freaking cold and if i was going outside for more then a few minutes i would definitely need my winter coat on. I wasn't very pleased with my photos as i ended up making weird or mad faces in them, i am going to blame the temperature for that :). I bought this top a year ago for only two dollars, at the time i thought it was a bit to short for leggings but when i tried it on again today it totally passed my legging rule (has to be long enough to cover your bum!!). Funny story about the black scarf i am wearing, it was a gift for Christmas which i very subtly hinted to my mom i wanted and i wore on here the day i got it. It was so big, soft and warm i really loved it. Well the next day at my other family Christmas my cousin and i went for walk in the fields behind their farm well i had to shed some layers after trudging through the snow for a piece so off went the scarf. I could have sworn i wore it home but the next day i searched everywhere and couldn't find it, my aunt looked at their place but the scarf wasn't to be found. Yup thats right i left the bloody thing out in the field where it got buried in snow and wasn't found until there was a bit of a thaw. It survived the ordeal relatively unscathed although i think it is a little bit longer then before but i am quite happy to have it back now!! I have decided to start my new years resolution now (better late then never right) and lose all of the extra weight i have gained over the past year. I have this pair of denim high waisted shorts which went from being a little snug all over in the summer to ultimate wedgie, can't breath tight now so my goal is to fit into them perfectly soonish :). i hope everyone had a lovely week!!!

Wahoo new picture taking spot!! In my usual absent minded ways i totally forgot about the front of my house, specically the garage door as a new back drop for my outfit photos. It is a little awkward when people drive by or neighbors pop out of there houses but i like the white background :). I really love how a ribbon just makes a relatively simple button up blouse look extra special. After seeing these three looks (1, 2, 3) i knew i had to buy some cheap black ribbon and try it out for myself (hopefully that is not copying!!). A current obsession of mine is lace, black lace especially i think it just looks amazing. I bought this skirt last year at Christmas time on sale, I blame all of the big meals i had but i needed a larger size then usual and sure enough a few weeks afterwards when i tried it on again it was to big so i have only worn it a few times. A belt and some rolling of the waistband solved the problem thankfully becuase it is a really pretty skirt!! I completely forgot to mention this but a week or more ago the lovely Natasha featured me on her blog in her Canadian Cuties section (Canadian girls go check it out and fill out the questions!!). And I Feel Like I'm Breaking Up

Ok i lied i thought i would post these pictures yesterday but it was my moms birthday so we went over to my grandparents to celebrate and stayed quite a bit longer then i had originally thought, so here they are today :). I think this is quite possibly my new favourite dress, i just love the burnt orange colour, ruffled sleeves and that it was on sale for only ten dollars at H&M, such a bargain!!! I ventured outside my backyard for these photos and i love how it looks like i am out in the middle of the nowhere despite the fact there are houses about ten meters from me. I felt like a walking Popsicle as it was ridiculously cold when i took these photos. I only lasted twenty frames before i had to get back in the car and blast the heat on my numb hands. Winter...yeesh i am ready for some nice weather warm weather anytime now!! I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for those super nice comments about my video in my last post. I had a little anxiety attack when i watched it after i posted and was like oh god it is horrible!! So they made me feel quite a bit better, I hope everyone had a lovely day!!

I have been mentioning about doing a 100 followers/ super belated Christmas giveaway for a very long time on here so i am super happy to say it is finally here!! Hello everybody!!! Only one post in a week yeesh that is not a good way to start the new year!! As i mentioned in my last post i was feeling very uninspired with my wardrobe and decided to wait till i had gone shopping before i took outfit photos. I went yesterday and am seriously excited to wear some of my new clothes. This outfit doesn't look nearly as good in these photos as it does in real life which was was a little disappointing. I found the top at value village for the very inflated price of $13. I was a little peeved as it isn't even a full length shirt but i loved it instantly so i decided to bit the bullet and purchase it. After trying out a body-con skirt in a clothing swap i knew i had to pick up some next time i went to H&m. I was super lucky and found this black one along with one that was identical to the skirt from the swap on the very picked over racks. They both only had one of my size left among the teeny tiny size twos :). I took these photos after i came home from work so i apologize for my yucky hair, i desperately need to get a haircut to put some shape into it lately i have just been pining it back on both sides but i need some more variety!! It was very chilly taking these photos, you know it's cold when your hands hurt and go numb through your gloves!! You must be totally sick of seeing my backyard every photo but when it is minus ten or lower i am to big of a wuss to leave and drive/walk to another place to take pictures. I have been in a outfit slump lately, the whole week i have stared at my room and thought i have nothing to wear which is so not true since it is over flowing with clothes everywhere. So i figured when in doubt wear black. I hope other people are like this but i have a few clothes which are my absolute favourites and i just wear constantly for some reason or other and neglect all of my other things. I have worn this plain black dress on here so many times (heres the link to my favourite photos) it is so comfy :)!! For this post i put a old turtleneck over it and wore it as a skirt to change up the look a bit. As i mentioned way to many times i love my vest and this is the other side of it. I worked most of the past week and haven't been shopping for any Christmas sales yet (ugh). Oh but i did order this pair of over the knee boots on Aldo for the ridiculous price of $28 with free shipping. I think i am going to the city this week so i can finally spend all of my hard earned money (haha not all of course but some) and find some goodies for my belated 100 followers/ Christmas giveaway!!! Hello everyone!!! i have been busy busy the last few days working in the morning and then going to family Christmasses. I am completly vegging tonight, just watching tv shows, catching up on all of the blog updates i missed and trying to stay awake. I wore this outfit yesterday to a Christmas but i didn't have time to take any photos so i did these today. This is the blog debut of my little dog, Cleo!! I have seen other bloggers take gorgeous photos with their pooches and i thought what the heck i would give it a try. It did not go as planned since i had envisioned her sitting and facing the camera but instead she ran around the yard sniffing things or stood on my feet staring at me. There were some hilarious photos where i am trying to get her over to the side, i think i might have to do a blooper post at some point. In the end after about thirty botched frames i put her back in the house and continued to take my regular outfit photos. I just LOVE my fur vest, i have worn at some point everyday since i got it :). It is reversible and this is actually the inside, the other side is a black cable knit sweater material. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got some awesome gifts!!!!!

Happy Holidays everyone!!! This is going to be a fast little post as i need to shower and then go play a intense game of Scrabble with my family :). Today i opened my presents from "Santa" in the morning then my family made a huge brunch and we opened the rest of the presents afterwards. It was such a awesome Christmas i just loved everything i got!!! I have some super cute new things to show you (especially my black vest lined with grey faux fur) and some money to go shopping!!!!! Yup i am super excited!! In this post i am wearing a new skirt from my sister which i love, the circle scarf i not to subtly hinted i wanted and the American Apparel winter leggings my other sister got me (they are soooo warm it is great). For the next two days i work in the morning and then have a family Christmas in the afternoon, i think it will be a long few days!!! I hope everyones Christmas/Holidays are going amazingly!!!

I think this is the first time i have ever posted a outfit where not one thing came from a thrift store!! It seems a little bit weird since most of my clothes are thrifted but it is nice to change things up a smidge. I am wearing my two absolute favourite colours today: red and black (ok black is shade but close enough). For the next few posts i am going to try and wear lots of red to get myself into the festive Christmassy mood. The sweater i am wearing in this post was one i rescued from my giveaway clothing pile. I bought it last Boxing Day actually but once i got home i decided it wasn't my style and only wore it a few times before discarding it to the get rid of clothing hamper for months. It is a darn good thing i check that pile everyonce and a while since i i can't believe some of the clothes i find in there!! I mentioned last post i wasn't feeling to good and sure enough i had a sore throat/ fever the next day. After taking loads of vitamins and medicine i am much better today, it was such awful timing, right before Christmas. I am so thankful it was just a little cold, i don't get sick to often so when i do it is generally a full blown two week thing!! I can't believe Christmas is only a few days away, if i don't post before that i just want to wish a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone :)!!!

I got a small job as a parking attendent at a ski resort this winter so the last few days i started work there. After showing the cars where to park i ended up shovelling quite a bunch of snow so i am sore and stiff all over. I wasn't feeling to good today (i think i got a chill from being outside) so the thought of taking my coat off for outfit photos was not a happy one. I know i have worn this coat alot recently on here (yikes) but this outfit was kindof just thrown together i promise i have a whole bunch of different outfits all lined up for future posts. I am going Christmas shopping tomorrow... finally, i haven't even started yet and our family one is in a few days, so so so bad. I am a total procrastinator i remember one year when i bought them the day before Christmas!! Also i have almost reached one hundred followers (YEAH!!!) which i am terribly excited about. So i am going to do a Christmas/100 hundred followers giveaway as soon as i can get to the city and buy some things for it (hopefully in the next few weeks but i swear it is coming soon!!). Wahoo it stopped snowing today!! My plan from now on is to take lots of outfit photos while the weather is nice so if there is another five day blizzard i will still have some thing to post!! I went shopping today in a nearby city, generally i don't find to much i like in regular stores but there were some lace cardigans, sequined dresses, big fluffy scarves and the coolest wing ring to tempt me. But logic prevailed and the fact i have no money so i definitely know where i want to go after Christmas!! I am actually really proud of myself besides my brown suede coat i haven't bought anything in about two months. I am finding a whole bunch of clothes i forgot about in the back of my closet and have decided i really don't need to much more besides the things on my Christmas wish list :). I have worn this blazer before (here & here) and the lace shirt (here). Although you can't see it the skirt has a small houndstooth pattern all over. I bought it last year and it used to sit at a really awkward length on me, right in the middle of my knees so i hemmed it up a few weeks ago. The only thing i don't like is it makes my hips look really wide since it is bit big but the blazer covers that nicely! I tried out a new make up look today, i don't like lipstick as i tend to smear it everywhere and can never find a good shade but i bought a Maybelline lipstain which i don't mind. It is super super bright in person so i am little unsure about that, i think i would wear it maybe to a party or something. But it was totally worth a try and i love how it looks in the photos. Christmas Wish List

Hello everyone!!!! I have not been posting regularly at all this month and i am so sorry about that. There are no outfit pictures this post :( where i live has been hit with snowstorm for the last four days and it is still blowing/snowing something fierce today!! i am hoping (cross your fingers) to get out tomorrow or Thursday if it ever stops to take some. Last night the electricity went out scaring me completely, no heat and minus twenty something degrees isn't funny but luckily it was fixed after four hours and i have never been more thankful for the furnace!! I have seen lots of bloggers make a Christmas Wish List so to post something today i thought i would create mine. Much to my families dismay for Christmas i always want just money, my sisters say this is incredibly boring but i like to pick out and find my own things. So these are some things i want to find hopefully on sale after Christmas!!

1. Black Toque

Hats never look good on me, i have been searching for a black toque or beanie for a very long time now so hopefully this will be the year i finally find it.

2. Long Grey Cardigan

I love long cardigans, they are just so warm and comfy!! I would like to get another neutral coloured cardi and a nice grey one would do the trick although it might take a while to find thrifting (i can never find a good quality cardi, i guess no one wants to give them up!!)

3. Leather Leggings (H&M)

Out of my whole list i want these the most!!! i really really want a pair of leather leggings i think they would just go with absolutely everything. There is a H&M in a city near me so i am crossing my fingers something like these will be in stock there.

4. Skinny Cargo Pants (Stitches)
As much as i hate to admit it, i need a pair of pants to wear now that the weather has taken a turn on terrible. I really liked this pair of Cargo pants i found on the Stitches website which are a bit different from the usual skinny jeans.

5. Sequin Dress (Dynamite)

Aren't sequins pretty?! I really want something sparkly this year and i thought this dress was super cute!

6. Bandage Skirts

After wearing the bandage skirt i received in The Lovely Ones clothing swap i decided i really needed to get myself two or three next time i visited H&M. I would love to get a black and electric blue one!

7. Black Maxi Skirt (Forever 21)

I really love this skirt!!! i have never bought anything from Forever 21 before so i don't know how the sizes would fit but they have such cute stuff on there website i am really tempted to send in a order.

8. Lace Dress (Forever 21)

I can't find this dress on the Forever 21 site anymore so it must have sold out, i can see why it is super cute!! I love anything with lace and have dying to find a lacy dress. I would really like to find something similar in a cream or white lace for some variety (i have alot of black already) .

All of these shoes/boots are ones i have been stalking weekly on my favourite shoe website Spring. I hate shoe shopping in stores they NEVER have my size in (people who have big feet would also like cute shoes!!) let alone have them on sale. I don't know if it is just me but i find the construction of shoes are awfully crappy for a hundred dollar price tag. But the Spring website has fabulous sales and i can generally get my shoes for half price or more also there are always deals on shipping. I can't believe how close Christmas, i haven't done any shopping for presents at all...yikes!! I hope everyone has a lovely day!!

Ohmygoodness there is so much snow now!! It started to storm on Saturday when i took my last photos and then just fully stopped today. I took these photos in my backyard where there is this huge drift, one half of the yard as you can see is as high as my waist and the other is about mid calf. It was a complete challenge just to get back there as i had to wade through knee high snow, holding my camera and tripod up to get around my house (i am sure that looked super funny if anyone was watching!!). If anyone who lives in nice warm places would like some snow you can have some, seriously come take it there is lots to spare :)!! This is kindof a simple, comfy but still cute outfit, i love how sweaters look belted over dresses it is such a good way to remix clothes. I bought this sweater last christmas at a boxing day sale, i can't remember exactly what i paid for it but it was definitely in $4-6 range. It is a boys wool sweater and was huge when i bought it which i loved. The sleeves went past my hands and was super long. But there was a accident involving a dryer for a very long period of time and it has now been shrunk one heck of alot smaller then it used be. I love my two pairs of thigh socks, they are one of my favourite purchases i have made recently. I don't have thin legs, they are thick/muscular and always have been so i was a little apprehensive about this trend but i really love how they look once i bought them so don't think for a second this trend is just for the super lucky girls with twig like legs!! I think i am going to get a pair or two to put in my Christmas giveaway for sure. I hope everyone had a wonderful week!!

It's These Expressions I Never Give

Winter has finally arrived in Ontario. Yesterday we got a absolute truck load of snow and it is still storming today. Don't you just love how snow looks in photos? it is bloody cold outside but totally worth it, everything looks so pretty!!! As you can see it really started to snow when i went to take photos at my grandpas. I am really not the best at winter driving, this is the first year i have had my license so when i missed a road i just thought i would turn around on this side road. Massive massive mistake as it was slippery and not plowed. So when i tryed to turn around i got stuck in the middle of the road, wearing this not warm outfit. I had forgotten my phone at home so there i was on this side road with no houses and no way to call my parents. There was alot of cursing and attempts to push my huge minivan out but eventually i just gave up and burst into tears. A lady drove up and called her husband to help me (i was absolutely mortified by this point since i was completely blocking the road) and then another car plus a boy on a snow mobile came to my increasing embarrassment. Sometimes people can be so nice and they all pushed me out and i drove off to my grandpas. By that point i just wanted to go home and make some tea to comfort myself but i was already there and my parents would wonder why i was gone so long without taking any photos. I didn't exactly tell them about this experience as it was terribly embarassing and i still want to take the car out everyone once and while (that might be suspended if they knew about that incident, so to my sisters who sometimes read this blog please don't say anything!!!!!). I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

P.S if my post song is playing some kitchy christmas music that is not intended, i don't know what is wrong with grooveshark one minute it will be the right song and the next it isn't? i am going to have to find a different music site.

I wore this outfit yesterday to go visit my sister (i took these pictures on her front porch which i love :)). I was actually really disappointed on how my photos turned out, with the exception of the pictures you see most were off on a funny angle and completely cut off when i straightened them out on photoshop. I was so excited to find this coat on my last thrift shopping trip!!! The suede is so so so soft and i love the brown faux fur lining for twenty five dollars it was such a bargain. I have been wearing it pretty much non stop since i bought it last week. On a previous post i mentioned about doing a DIY vlog post on how i did my leggings although i would love to do that I really don't have the time but i found this girl on youtube who used a stitch ripper the same as i did to make her tights (mine are leggings so it works for both!!). After i got home and i looked at these photos i realized the lines on my tights were completely off. I had straightened them before i left the house but that didn't last to long so try to ignore my wacky legs!!! I have been wearing alot of black lately so i tried to break away from that with this outfit. I just hemmed this skirt on the weekend (originally it went down past my knees) it is quite short but i wore shorts underneath it to prevent any uh flashing accidents :). Today it warmed up considerably and i could take these photos in my sweater without being cold which was so so so nice. I wore this cardigan once after i bought it (here) and then forgot about it at the back of my closet until now! I think i need to get a hair cut soon it is looking a bit straggly and i would like to get some bangs or layers. I haven't been able to get grooveshark to work lately which is why there hasn't been a song on my last few posts. Hello everyone!!! The weather here has been pretty crappy, it has either been raining or snowing and i am feeling the cold!! I have been having trouble taking outfit photos now that the weather has a taken a turn on the chilly side so i took these pictures on my front step today (the spots in the pictures is snow swirling in). I think you will be seeing it alot since it solves my freezing but pretty outdoor photos versus crappy indoor ones problem. I can just pop inside my house and warm my hands which i definitely did a few times while i took these photos!!! I got a few "what is she doing looks????" looks from my neighbors but oh well :). I picked up some thigh high socks while shopping on Monday, I also found a new coat at a thrift store which i can't wait to wear on here (think brown suede and faux fur)!!!! I was a little unsure whether or not the socks would look ok on my uh thicker thighs but i think they look alright and add some much needed warmth to tights. I have to admit i love this outfit more then my previous one using this skirt from the clothing swap. I didn't get to the post office today before it closed so i am going to ship it back to Charlotte on Monday along with my skirt for the swap...finally!! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!

Brrrrrrrrr it was so freaking cold when i took these photos, I lasted about fifteen minutes outside and just had to hope i took some good pictures as my hands were to frozen to look through them on my camera. My hair kindof looks like a tangled mess (sorry try to ignore that) it was just so windy, oh how i miss the warmer weather!! It snowed here last night for the first time this year, but when i finally got out to take photos most of it had melted but i did find this field which still had some left. I recieved my first item from the clothing swap from Charlotte of girlnextdoorfashion yesterday, it is so exciting to receive things in the mail!! I have never tried on a bandage skirt so this was a something new for me. I seriously love it and desperately need to pick up one or two next time i get to closest H&M. I thought i would do two outfit posts with the skirt (this one and then something a bit edgier) since it travelled all the way to Canada before i mailed it back :). Oh i have little question, i wanted to do a hundred followers give away but i think that might be a long time to wait so i am just going to do one around Christmas as my present to all of you lovelies!!! But i was wondering how you felt about a giveaway with thrifted/vintage things if that was a good idea or should a it be something new? I would love to hear your opinions. My computer crashed a few days ago, i picked up the SAME virus it had only had a little while back. It was entirely my fault i wasn't paying attention and clicked on the pop up which let the virus in. So it had to get fixed again which explains my almost week long blogging absence, I can't wait to reply to comments and catch up on all of the blog updates i missed!! Anyways this outfit was a bit of a experiment since i never wear longer skirts. I bought this skirt in the summer and wore it as a dress/beach coverup (here). I still love my shorter hemlines but i think i might try out a maxi skirt next and i would like to find a all black skirt at this length. I was thinking about maybe doing a DIY video post on how i made my leggings in the previous post, i always loved seeing other bloggers vlogs so that will probably be coming in the next few weeks hopefully :). I didn't know whether or not i should post these pictures since this outfit seems a bit boring and plain but i haven't posted a few days so here they are. I haven't been feeling very creative lately it has pretty much been all oversized sweaters and leggings or tights. I have worn this sweater on here before in the summer (link) and the leggings were my little DIY project yesterday. I really like how they turned out although my parents don't quite understand the appeal. I love this scarf, my sister gave it me as a present from Italy when I was about twelve years old. I wasn't a very fashionable twelve or thirteen or fourteen year old so it sat in my closet for a long time until i finally figured out how to tie it and then it's been my favourite ever since. I am wearing my new boots that i had ordered which arrived today!!! (sorry if there was some confusion which boots i had ordered, although i would love the wedge bootie i think it might be a bit high for me). I was so glad they fit and only came to $41 with shipping. I know they are kindof hard to see in the pictures but i am going to wear them tons :). I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I love this skirt :) i know i just wore it a few posts ago but i wanted to get one more wear before isend it out for the blog swap. i really really hope it doesn't get lost in the mail!! I seriously need to get more tights, i have destroyed most of the ones i own. This outfit was a bit to prim and proper for me so i added my really holey fishnets to rough it up a bit. I caught them on a corner on the way out of my house and ripped them even more then i would like. I took these photos at my Grandpas and i have to say it is my favourite picure location (very private thank god i have had a few scary run ins with people and cars) and it is only a few minutes from my house! Does anyone else hate the shorter days? The clocks went back on the weekend i swear the sun sets at five thirty, it is so depressing, i am just dreading winter. I finally found the elusive red cardigan at my Salvation Army the last time i was in (although it is more of a raspberry colour in real life). It takes me a long time to find a good quality cardigan thrift shopping, i guess no one wants to give them away! I hope everyone has a good evening!

Celeb Style Inspiration

I don't tend to get inspired by celebrities style to much, i like looking at other bloggers and fashion websites like Chictopia or Lookbook for that. But when i stumbled upon Sky Ferreira's music video Obsession (i hardly ever like pop music but this one was surprisingly catchy) i fell in love with her amazing hair (seriously why can't mine be like that) and her unique style. So i thought i would share some photos since i am not feeling creative enough to do a outfit post myself. The first picture is definitely my favourite!!

I ordered my boots i linked in my last post today!! the price lowered over the weekend (YES) so the total came to $41 with shipping :) which i think is kindof awesome for a pair of boots. While browsing the store online is saw these wedge booties, aren't they amazing, i have seen so many bloggers wearing this type of boot. I am so jealous because these are just way to high for me, i think i would be over 6'1 in these. Sometimes i wish i was just a few inches shorter :(. I hope everyone is having a good weekend

It was so darn cold and windy while i tried to take these photos. Getting my hair to stay in one place was a major battle and i ended up with dozens of pictures where it flew into my face or was plastered to my head. I found this mens Tommy Hilfiger shirt last week at the Salvation Army. They were having a major Halloween sale and i ended up getting it, another grey shirt just like it and a red cardigan for a total seven dollars!! Although it looks like denim, the shirt is actually cotton and is so big and comfy :), this type of outfit is pretty much my uniform for fall and winter. I wanted to take photos without my blazer on but since i only lasted about ten minutes outside i will have to show you guys the shirt better next time!! I really need to find some coats asap, i should have done the smart thing and bought them in the summer while i had the chance because the selection is just pitiful now. I found a pair of winter boots i want to buy (here) now i just have to wait till Christmas when they go on sale because there is no way i am paying $90!!

oh i also really really want this pair of boots (here) and have been waiting for them to go on sale which they finally are!! I have a gift card for that store but they don't let you use it for online shopping. I mean come on every store does that, ugh i am so peeved. The closest shop is about a hour away and i don't think they carry my size (my feet are big...) in store so now i am stuck with this stupid forty dollar card. I think i am going to phone customer service and see if they can ship the boots to the shop where i can pay for them (sounds reasonable but so does being able to use a gift card online). I don't mind wearing a bit of a heel even though i am quite tall already (5'9ish). Just because i am naturally taller then most people i don't think i should let that stop me from wearing them. I get some funny looks but if someone doesn't like it that is their problem not mine :). Yesterday i discovered i lost two followers which made me kind of sad but i decided not to take it too personally and dwell on it. I just wanted to say i love all of my followers TONS and want to thank everyone for leaving such wonderful comments. I am sorry if i haven't been replying to comments very quickly lately, i don't really have a excuse but i will do that soon!! I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy belated Halloween everyone!! I don't get to into the holiday but i did hand out candy to the little kids. I swear they have the cutest costumes now, there were two little lions that just melted my heart (they reminded me of my favourite disney movie the lion king!). I am wearing the hat... again i know, i have worn it so many times on here (sorry) i think i have definitely got my dollars worth! In my would you wear leopard print post i mentioned this blouse. I was really unsure about it but two dollars, such a bargain and bought it anyways. I am so glad i did, i love it now!! I think i am going to wear this exact outfit alot (not on here of course but in regular life) when i don't feel like putting to much effort into getting dressed, i love having a few staple outfits which you can fall back on! After seeing these pictures i think i need to lose a bit of weight, i gained alot last winter and most of it is still there.... so that is my new resolution before Christmas! I finished my exam yesterday!! It is such a relief to be done studying for a little while. I think this is my favourite over sized sweater (it is quite big when it's not tucked into my skirt). I love army green so much for fall this year, i would love to find a cardigan in that colour. Its kind of hard to see in the pictures but there are elbow patches and details on the shoulder which make the sweater a little extra special :) not to mention the fact it is wool and super super warm!! Funny little fact when i got it home from the Salvation Army i checked the label and googled the name. It turns out this sweater is actually from the Canadian army clothing supplier (there is a base a few towns away) which i thought was kindof cool considering the military clothing trend, my sweater is the real deal!! This skirt is my first hemming project i have worn on here!!! When i bought it from the Salvation Army it was about mid-calf length and i just finished the hem last week. Actually it is a bit shorter then i had originally intended, i could have sworn i measured!! The skirt has a elastic waistband which i love (so comfortable) and would fit a variety of sizes so it is going to be my first contribution to the blog swap group which i am very excited to start!!

This was the outfit i had planned for today when my childhood friend was going to come visit me on her reading week. She told me yesterday that she couldn't take the vehicle, so that didn't work out. This kindof thing has happened numerous times with various other people. I mean we moved last year and i think i have had two visits from people and i am only moved two hours away, i mean it's not across the bloody country or something. But i'm not angry about that, however it does really upset me when someone says they are coming up so and so day and then it doesn't happen for a variety of reasons. I don't think i am being unreasonable in thinking maybe they should check with work or parents if that day/weekend/car is free before making the plans with me. It is really disappointing :(. Sorry for my rant, generally i don't like to talk about those kindof things on here but i am just feeling sad and lonely today.

I have been playing around with this idea for a while but i was wondered about maybe doing a double blog feature with someone (i ask them questions and vice versa). I am working on finishing up my Ask Me Anything answers (if anyone wants to a ask a question here is the link!!) but i loved some of the questions so i just think it would be a fun idea, just email me if you are interested!! A really really fast post!! i am supposed to be studying at the moment but i decided to take little break. My computer is going to get fixed today :) hopefully this will be the end of the problems!! I love this red blazar, it has a rip on a seam inside the lining but the outside is in absolute perfect condition. I think red is probably my favourite colour to wear. Well I have to go back to hitting the books, i hope everyone is having a lovely week!!
